Leadership

BRIAN KULICK is in his 10th year as Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company, a decade where, The Village Voice notes, he has “brought a fresh feeling and energy to CSC, banishing any doubts about resurrecting adventurous classical theatre in New York.” It was during this period that he staged such celebrated productions as Brecht’s GALILEO with F. Murray Abraham, Ostrovsky’s THE FOREST with Dianne Wiest, Shakespeare’s THE TEMPEST with Mandy Patinkin, and the world premiere of poet Anne Carson’s award-winning adaptation of AN ORESTEIA. From 1996 to 2001, Mr. Kulick was an Artistic Associate and then Associate Producer of The Public Theater where he directed critically-acclaimed productions of Shakespeare’s TWELFTH NIGHT, THE WINTER’S TALE and TIMON OF ATHENS, all at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, and A DYBBUK, PERICLES, and KIT MARLOWE at The Public’s downtown home.

GREG REINER joined CSC in 2012 as its new Executive Director. Prior to this, he was Executive Director of Tectonic Theater Project, where he produced the world premiere of THE LARAMIE PROJECT: TEN YEARS LATER in 150 theatres on a single night, and oversaw the Tony-nominated 33 VARIATIONS. Prior to Tectonic, he was the Managing Director for Tim Robbins’ Actor’s Gang, where he launched an International Touring Initiative that brought productions of THE EXONERATED and THE GUYS to theatre audiences around North America including The Public Theater and festivals in London, Europe, Australia, Asia and New Zealand. He has also been the Managing Director of Shakespeare Festival/L.A. and was recently chosen as a participant in National Arts Strategies’ Chief Executive Program, a two-year initiative designed to unleash the collective power of 100 top executive leaders in the cultural sector.
