About The Young Company
The Young Company is a unique partnership between Classic Stage Company and the graduate Theatre Arts Program at Columbia University’s School of the Arts. We make Shakespeare alive and accessible to students all over New York City and beyond through workshops at your school and performances at our theatre.
The diverse company of young, talented actors in our shows also serve as our in-school teaching artists. This means that your students have the opportunity to learn from actors they can relate to, and to experience firsthand how powerful – and how much fun – Shakespeare can be.
Pricing
Workshops range from $165 to $250 each. Tickets range from $5 to $20 each. Contact us to see if your school qualifies for subsidized pricing.

The National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest presents Shakespeare for a New Generation. CSC is one of 42 professional theatre companies selected to participate in Shakespeare for a New Generation, bringing the finest productions of Shakespeare to middle- and high-school students in communities across the United States. This is the tenth year of Shakespeare for a New Generation, the largest tour of Shakespeare in American history.
